Our Story

Simply Built Different.

The idea sparked during the pandemic in 2021, when mountain biking became our escape. We loved the trails, but hated the process of wrestling with traditional tailgate pads — straps, buckles, and wasted time.

So we started brainstorming. The solution? Magnets. By adding a magnetic system to the pad, we made installation effortless. Put it on or take it off in seconds. No straps, no tangles, no frustration. Just clean, compact simplicity.

We designed MBP to be:

  • Minimal — no excess bulk, just what you need.
  • Durable — built with Ottertech ripstop and rugged materials.
  • Stowable — folds away neatly when not in use.

Born and raised in Idaho, we grew up in the mountains and outdoors. Simplicity is in our DNA. That’s why MBP is 100% owned, made, and managed in Idaho — giving back to the same community and environment that shaped who we are.

Why We Do It

Mountain bikers deserve gear that works as hard as they ride. We built MBP to eliminate the headache of traditional pads and give riders back the freedom to focus on what matters — the ride, the adventure, the community.

Our mission:  to create simple, innovative solutions for riders who demand better. We simply want to be different.
